CIRS: MARKETING MANAGER 2 on committee
Job Description:
Reporting to the VP of Marketing by working closely with Sales and Operations, the jobholder will be responsible for the formulation and execution of Asia-Pacific marketing strategies for a broad chemical portfolio and key customer groups.
Main responsibilities will include:
• Market and competitive analysis
• Identification of market growth opportunities and development of a strategic business plan
• Driving new business and opportunities
• Managing product portfolios including new products, price positioning and discontinuance
• Developing tactical marketing plans to target customers and support sales teams
• Working with marketing communications to develop campaigns in print, electronic and web based media
• Developing sales forecasts and inventory management strategies with operations and sales teams
• Financial responsibility for chemical product line including revenue and margin targets
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical or Business Studies or equivalent work experience required.
• experience in chemical marketing or associated field to academia/government, pharmaceutical/biotech, and industry markets
Skills:
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. SAP experience a plus
• Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to translate product positioning to different audiences
• Experience managing many deliverables to tight timelines
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, diplomatic, and a team player
• Strong personal drive and creativity; self-starter and able to see things through to completion
• Understanding of and appreciation for brand building
• A strategic mindset and the ability to display structured conceptual thinking, willingness to travel 25% of time
